Calling Autumn

This award winning piece showcases a pecan-stained birch leaf wreath inlayed into an oval windowed front door painted in deep fall red.  The door is made up of stylized raised panels with painted inlay inside and out.  Lady Autumn is visible through the glass window.

The inside door inlay is layered birch with a coral handle – the back panel is an intricate inlaid tree with suspended individually cut leaves and a trunk of tightening muscle-like stained bark. Lady Autumn’s outstretched arm calls to the Fall leaves.

Calling Autumn won an honorable mention award in the 2022 International Juried Competition - Art Show International
